Who We Are and How Can We Help

Haven Therapy was founded with the belief that everyone deserves a safe, supportive, and empowering space to work through life’s challenges. Our founder, with years of experience in case management, aged care, and counselling, has created a nurturing environment that has grown into a thriving team of dedicated professionals. We understand that each person’s needs are different, which is why we tailor our services and approaches to fit you, not the other way around.

Individual Counselling: We offer telehealth and phone counselling Australia-wide, as well as in-person sessions at our East Maitland clinic. We support clients aged 16+.

Educational Workshops: We offer custom-created workshops and presentations for small groups (up to 10 participants), tailored to meet the groups needs. These workshops can support parents, caregivers, educators, colleagues, or employees by addressing topics such as mental health, self-care, communication, and parenting strategies.

Tailored Resources: In addition to our counseling services, we create personalized therapeutic resources designed to support the unique needs of the individual. Some of these resources are available for purchase online, and we also offer bespoke creations based to support you. These have been especially well recieved for those clients that need that more personal touch to thrive.

A Relaxed and Supportive Environment: We believe that therapy doesn’t need to feel clinical. Whether you’re sitting in a cozy space in our clinic, relaxing at home during a telehealth session, or engaging in a creative therapy session with your child on a beanbag, we strive to create environments where you feel safe, heard, and comfortable. And yes, sometimes this means having therapy sessions with kids who are mid-cartwheel or upside-down—whatever it takes to foster their trust and self-expression!

While the practice was founded by a dedicated counselor with years of experience, our team has grown to include skilled professionals who share a vision for compassionate, person-centered care. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or a loved one, we’re here to walk alongside you on your journey. All of our skilled therapists are registered with either ACA or PACFA and undergo comprehensive training and development regularly.
